With an altitude of 1640m, the station of Chalmazel is open during the winter from December to the end of March.  Whether on holiday with family or friends comea and take in some good fresh air!

Ski, toboggan, snow shoes…

Chalmazel is a village of the Loire with 470 inhabitants. It is known for its 13c castle, its beautiful charm, its authentic inhabitants but also for his winter sports resort in the mountains.

The only ski station of the Loire (1100m-1640 m) is located in the Haut Forez, at just one hour from Roanne and Saint-Etienne, and only 30minutes from Montbrison et de Feurs.

The ski resort of Chalmazel was created in 1965. Since 2003, the Conseil General, original creator of the resort, too over again. The resort has therefore been through many great changes since then...

New in 2009:

For the sporting customer, the ski-lift des Cimes was replaced by a new lift which has doubled the flow of passangers (900 skiers/hour).
