Val Thorens is first and foremost a winter sports paradise for every type of riding. Thanks to exceptional levels of snow as well as the shape of the mountain, Val Thorens is accessible for all levels being rather easy around the resort and more technical the further away you go.

The ski area offers 1430m of remarkable slopes (1800m to 3230m of altitude).

Val Thorens also offers the choice between 3 ski areas:

Val Thorens - Orelle (140 km of pistes), the Belleville Valley (300 km of tracks) and the 3 Valleys (600 km of tracks).

It also guarantees exceptional snow thanks to the altitude (Practically all the ske area around Val Thorens is above 2000m) and with powerful snow cannons (more than 2000 all together in the 3 Valleys).

Val Thorens is at the forefront of ski lift technology. The modernity and the comfort of its equipment allows fast connections and safer, more vaired skiing throughout the area without the hassle of waiting for lifts.

In terms of new installations the resort also offers: a snowpark, a boardercross, a children's area dedicated to the smallest skiers, a slalom race piste which hosts some of the most prestigious races, a toboggan track 6km in length, and another smaller one reserved for children...
