Cheap ski hire Grindelwald
Grindelwald is the epitome of Swiss charm, full of traditional chalets, a yearly snow-carving festival every January, and complete with a station and cog railway. Dramatically set beneath the north face of the Eiger Mountain, Grindelwald is as much a tourist hit for its scenic walking and mountaineering than for its slopes. From all over the slopes the views are unrivalled, not only of the Eiger but also of the Wetterhorn and other peaks.
The Grindelwald ski area is divided in three: First (50km of pistes accessed from the eastern end of Grindelwald); Kleine Scheidegg/Mannlichen (100km of pistes at the base of the Eiger); and neighbouring Wengen (linked by lift). The key of Grindelwald’s success is diverse territory and long valley runs. Wooded runs at resort level give way to slopes at the bottom of the Eiger, and the gentle cruising trails make this a perfect resort for families and those needing to gain a little confidence. The 20 black runs spread around the ski area also include some serious challenges for those seeking bigger challenges and better thrills.
SkiDiscount will help you pick the right equipment for your confidence and skill level, and have it waiting for you when you get to Grindelwald.
