Cheap ski hire Kappl
Kappl is a family orientated resort close to Ischgl in the Tyrol’s Paznaun area of Austria. The après ski at Kappl is not as wild as many other Austrian countries, owing to the town’s reputation as a family friendly resort for all abilities. Kappl is more rural than it is a party culture, but there are a good number of lively restaurants and bars here, and Ischgl is only a 10 minute bus ride away. For the best of Kappl après ski, try Schupfa for a warm and hearty atmosphere, or the Eisbar Sunny Mountain for a beautiful panorama terrace and ice bar.
With a total of 40km of pistes going up to 2640m, all well looked after and maintained by Kappl resort, experts and beginners alike will find enough to entertain them here. Runs like Planka and Latten are left intentionally ungroomed in contrast to the rest of the skiing in Kappl, but provide extremely satisfying descents. Kappl’s Sunny Mountain Erlebnispark is an excellent adventure park with the aim of teaching children the basics of skiing, but youngsters are not the only people getting a well-rounded education from Kappl; the resort is hugely popular with skiers and snowboarders, along with the freeriders who get their money’s worth on the nearly endless, unspoiled slopes. Experts may wish to explore Ischgl eventually, but the challenging slopes of Kappl still provide a great foundation. The altitude makes snowfall reliable and consistent, and sunny exposition makes it a delight to ski in.
