Cheap ski hire Kitzbühel
A medieval town set in at the notably low height of 760m, Kitzbühel is both beautifully picturesque and wold famous for its descents down the Hahnenkamm. Its historic roots are palpable, with narrow little cobbled streets and a 14th century church, attracting a clientele made up, in part, by wealthy Austrian couples. The après ski is energetic, with bars like the Prax Keller, the Londoner, and the Stamperl open until late and filled with happy skiers, and if you’re visiting during the Hahnenkamm weekend expect practically everywhere to be crowded. There are good restaurants too, which is not surprising given the choice of over 100 different eateries. Hotel Tennerhof is award winning for its twist on traditional Austrian food, but book ahead as the resort restaurants tend to fill up fast.
The Hahnenkamm race held here is an internationally famous events, attracting around 70,000 people every year. Kitzbühel is not a one trick pony though, the terrain here is diverse with well-marked trails to suit every ability. A freedriding hill is also available, as is access to the huge neighbouring SkiWelt area. Despite the strikingly low altitude, Kitzbühel has stocked up on snow cannons in recent years and the slopes here are now more reliable than ever, never mind the extensive and generally empty off-piste.
If you’re visiting this traditional Austrian resort, hire your equipment with SkiDiscount and ski in total confidence, all whilst saving money in Kitzbühel.
