Cheap ski hire Neukirchen am Großvenediger
Neukirchen am Großvenediger is a small Austrian village found near the central Alpine ridge, in the south of the Pinzgau area of Salzburg. Neukirchen town is certainly sizeable in terms of territory, but the off-season population is a mere 2,600, giving it a charming village atmosphere.
Despite the name, Neukirchen is not located on the Großvenediger Mountain, but is rather on the neighbouring mountain, in the heart of the Wildkogel ski area. The village itself has 35km of pistes suiting both beginners and intermediates, but when extended to the entire Wildkogel area, it is over 60km. This is undeniably modest when compared to the circuits elsewhere in the Alps, but don’t dismiss Neukirchen out of hand; the range here is well divided, with runs of 45% blue, 40% red, and 15% black. The pistes are superbly groomed, and at its peak elevation this underdog resort reaches 2,250m above sea level. If this is not enough, other winter sports activities are also offered, such as snow walking and tobogganing
